Course Outline: The new AAP classifications were designed to improve your assessment and give clinicians a framework to diagnose periodontal conditions consistently. During this session, Kerry will review the new staging and grading guidelines for gingivitis, periodontal disease and peri-implant diseases.
The new system includes evaluating risk factors, biofilm and inflammation as part of your assessment. You will learn strategies to incorporate the AAP classifications easily thru patient cases.
